‘Mon the Biff! Scottish rockers BIFFY CLYRO could well have picked the Main Stage action up a notch at Leeds Festival this year, I thought, and have ‘em pegged as next year’s headliners. Luckily it seems we won’t have to wait that long for their triumphant return to Leeds. Not long at all, in fact…
It seems the band have quietly announced a one-off show at O2 Academy Leeds on Friday, Setember 21, possibly as a warm-up for their iTunes Festival show the following day, airing tracks from their new double album Opposites.
Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday (August 31). Not sure how much they are yet, but does it matter? Last time they played at the Academy, it was awesome. Though I was a bit cheesed off I’d missed Manchester Orchestra supporting coz of the venue’s early doors of a Saturday night.
So yeah, the important stuff. Links >> Ticketweb and Seetickets. Be there first thing Friday.
