After calling time on The Music, Rob Harvey has been working with his Streets pal Mike Skinner on THE D.O.T, something which seemed to have started as an experimental project. The pair have mixed up a winning formula and now there’s news of a debut album and live shows, including a homecoming show for Rob at the Brudenell Social Club in October…
If you’ve not stumbled across the duo’s website - www.the-dot.net - go check it out. It continues as it began – a collection of video diaries and music videos, some of which will find their way onto the album (And That, out on October 22), like the awesome Weapon Of Choice and Shut Up And Keep Talking, and many which won’t. It’s a decent insight into where the pair have wanted to travel sonically since The Music and The Streets called it quits last year.
Now I guess Rob and Mike feel like their musical tinkering has created something worthy of sharing in person, and have announced their first UK tour in October, which calls at the Brudenell Social Club on Saturday, October 27.
Not sure on ticket details just yet, but will update the pasge as soon as I get wind.
