New York thrash metal heroes ANTHRAX are heading out on tour next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic album Among The Living.
The band will be playing the iconic 1987 album, which features mosh hits Efilnikufesin, Indians and the Judge Dredd-inspired I Am The Law, in full on the tour- their first headline shows in a decade.
Mainman Scott Ian says: “Finally! We’ve been looking forward to headlining in the UK for so long. We have a killer set planned – new stuff, old favourites, deep tracks and Among The Living front to back.
“You’d better start getting in shape now for the epic war dance. See you soon my friends.”
Expect a good helping of classic Anthrax tunes from across their 35-year career, from formidable punk crossover debut Fistful Of Metal to this year’s For All Kings.
Support in the tour will come from THE RAVEN AGE, the UK rock outfit fronted by IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris’ son George.
Anthrax will be playing eight dates next February:
Thursday 9 – O2 Institute, Birmingham
Friday 10 – O2 Forum Kentish Town, London
Saturday 11 – O2 Academy Bristol
Monday 13 – Rock City, Nottingham
Tuesday 14 – Manchester Academy
Wednesday 15 – Barrowlands, Glasgow
Thursday 16 – Northumbria University, Newcastle
Friday 17 – Norwich UEA
