Irish singer-songwriter DERMOT KENNEDY is making his Leeds debut next week with a show at Church’s Chapel as part of his UK tour, fresh from a string of dates across America.
The 25-year-old rising star set out busking last year and his soulful electro-acoustica has now reached the ears of over 60 million Spotify users. Signed to Lana Del Ray’s management team – he supported her earlier this year – he released his latest EP Doves And Ravens earlier this year.
With hints of Jack Garratt and Bon Iver at his boldest, Kennedy’s new tune Moments Passed, produced by Athlete bassist Carey Willetts, is a banger. Wrapped around twisted samples and pulsing beats, it’s mid-tempo, but urgent, huge-sounding, but intimate – a BIG tune.

Get down to the Chapel next to Leeds Uni on Wednesday, October 3 to see him in such intimate surroundings before he’s touring much bigger venues next year.
