Having sold out an amazing show at Piece Hall in Halifax earlier in the summer, Yorkshire indie heroes EMBRACE have just announced a huge show in Leeds next spring.
The band will be performing songs from The Good Will Out and Out Of Nothing at Leeds Arena on Saturday March 14. STARSAILOR and CUD will be supporting.
Earlier this year, Embrace hit the road playing The Good Will Out live, celebrating their debut album’s 21st birthday, to sold-out crowds up and down the country.
This celebration culminated with a massive hometown show, playing to 6,000 fans at Piece Hall in Halifax.
Frontman Danny McNamara says: “Our Halifax gig was really special, such a magical day, but this show has the potential to be even more special. It’s a chance to play some live favourites that we haven’t played for a long time, alongside all our biggest hits.”
The Good Will Out became one of the fastest selling debut albums by any British artist at the time, certified Gold on the day of release and going on to sell over half a million copies in the UK alone.
Out Of Nothing is the band’s fourth album and features some of their biggest and best-loved tunes – Ashes, Gravity and Looking As You Are – and
went on to sell more than 600,000 copies achieving double Platinum status in the UK.
This is going to be a BIG show. Huge. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 2 August at 9am from all the usual online spots and firstdirectarena.com.
