The folk behind the nearly-newly-refurbished Fibbers in York have an uncanny knack of booking some excellent gigs for acts way bigger than the 400-capacity venue – recent big names squeezed into the place being IAN BROWN and THE CHARLATANS…
The venue have just announced two great shows for next month and April – acts fast or miss out!
The delightful FRANK TURNER will be popping in to York on Thursday, February 17 with a full live band in tow.
He ended 2010 (which saw him play in front of thousands of fans at Wembley Stadium supporting Green Day) with a huge sold-out UK tour at venues much bigger than Fibbers – proving he’s come a long way since his Million Dead days.
Tickets for this show will fly out – there is less than 200 left already and they only went on sale yesterday!
Support comes from Teesside indie-folk troubadors YOUNG REBEL SET, who have a habit of making girls cry – in a Beatlesy, Take Thaty kind of way. They’re not brutes.

They’re also hitting the road again – still without frontman Fergal Sharkey – and are heading to Fibbers on Saturday, April 2.
