Leeds noisemakers FIZZY BLOOD have released a fresh new tune today and it’s pretty bloody awesome. Riffs? Yes. Stacked. Singalong choruses? Yep. Soaring. Check CFO out here.
The four-piece have fast become firm favourites of ours because riffs, basically. Their Summer Of Luv EP, released last September is a powerhouse of crunching guitars and wild no-fucks-given post-punk attitude. Check it out.
CFO see the band take an ever-so-slight step towards a more pop approach to their rock. Still go them riffs, though.
Speaking of CFO, guitarist Paul Howells says: “Broadly speaking, CFO is a warning about pushing people away who only had your best interests at heart. It’s easy to lose sight of things when you’re mired down in a single minded pursuit. So what I’m trying to say is, stop and smell the roses every once in a while, you’ll thank yourself later.
“This is one of those things that is better left up to your imagination. Whatever you think CFO stands for, that’s what it is.”
We could hazard a guess at what the F stands for though, right?
