Us JIMMY EAT WORLD fans have gotten used to waiting a few years in between new material over the years (we’re due an new album in 2019) so it’s a bit of a surprise to wake up to two new tunes from the Arizona emo lords this morning.
The four-piece have quietly released Love Never and half heart (no caps, by the looks of it) today, no social announcements, no teasers or even clues. Just two fresh offerings which will hopefully – and very likely – be part of their Slam Dunk headline set at the end of the month.
Check out the one-shot lyric video for Love Never, which not-so-subtly teases the 7″ vinyl release, and half heart below:
Both tunes continue the driving direction of 2016’s Integrity Blues – a return to their Futures/Bleed American days of crunching guitar-driven loveliness. They’re instant hits. Love ’em.
And we can’t wait to hear them when they co-headline Slam Dunk Festival on Saturday, May 25 in Leeds, where they’ll hit up Millennium Square and rock out with 8,000 rock fans. Yeah.
There are still tickets left for Slam Dunk, which also features co-headliners Good Charlotte as well as Taking Back Sunday, Twin Atlantic, Pvris, Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes and many many more on sages across the city. Head over to slamdunkmusic.com for details and tickets.
