Last chance to catch Dananananaykroyd

I first saw this lot thru bleary, hungover eyes in the NME tent at Leeds festival last year. They were on way too early, but their boundless energy was the audible double espresso we needed to kick start the day. DANANANANAYKROYD barely got going after five years, but have now decided to part ways. Very sad…

Despite not fulfiling their true potential (and I won’t be alone thinking that), the Glaswegian¬†“six-man musical fireball” (their words) have slung up some words in their website explaining the split.

I missed them the other week at the Library – thinking I’d catch them next time round, blissfully unaware of their imminent demise. There’s a lesson to be learned there…

Still, the dark cloud has a silver lining in that their second-last-ever gig will be in York. Hurrah! Kind of.

They’re heading to Fibbers on November 11. Tickets are ¬£7 from HERE and HERE.

I don’t think I’m going to pass this time round.
