My Vitriol make delayed return to Leeds this week

Early Noughties indie darlings MY VITRIOL are heading back to Leeds this week after having to postpone their show due to illness in May.

My Vitriol

Well worth the wait, the band, whose dark shoegaze-y alt-rock caused quite a buzz back in 2001 when they released their debut album, Finelines, have regrouped and will be back in Leeds after more than 15 years away with a show at the Brudenell Social Club on Thursday, November 10.

Despite their fairly brief existence, the band left their mark on the music world, proven by the band’s live return to support Muse at the London O2 Arena last year as well as shows and festivals across Europe to over 100,000 people. The four-piece then announced a fanbase special at the London Scala back in April, which sold out immediately.

EDIT: As a bit of a sweetener to soothe the May tour’s postponement, the new UK tour was set to feature Texan rockers …AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD.

Unfortunately, due to current immigration issues in the US, the band have decided to cancel their visit to the UK. Basically, if singer Conrad Keely leaves America, he may very well not be allowed back in. Well done, Trump.

Tickets for the show at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on Thursday, November 10 are still available. Get yours from Jumbo Records or Seetickets.
