The dreadlocked troubador NEWTON FAULKNER hasn’t been on tour for what seems like ages. I last saw him at the overlooked festival at Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre with the Doves in 2010. Maybe he has and I’ve not been paying attention. Anyway, he’s heading back to Yorkshire, not once, twice, but three times in May…
First up, he’s over at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth on Tuesday, May 15 before a show at the Cockpit in Leeds on Wednesday, May 16. then he’s down in Sheffield at the O2 Academy 2 on Thursday, May 17. Lucky us!
Great tunes, great musicianship and great banter, Newton’s folk-pop live sets are well worth spending a few quid on. If you’ve not seen him before, I highly recommend you go check him out.
Tickets go on sale on Friday (February 17) at 9am. Try HERE for Picturedrome, HERE for Cockpit and HERE for O2 Academy Sheffield. Tickets are around £16-£18, which is a little dear, but like I said, well worth it.
