Alt-folk heroes SKINNY LISTER are heading out on a tour next month to promote their third album, The Devil, The Heart & The Fight, out on September 30.
The six-piece will kick the tour off at the legendary Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on October 4 before moving on to nine other cities, finishing at The Garage in London.
Their straight-up good time performances have been winning over fans all across the globe, whether its supporting label mate Frank Turner on his arena tours or headlining their own sold-out shows across America.
Having spent the last 18 months on the road, save five weeks spent in the studio recording their third album, Skinny Lister are more than ready to get back on tour again. Their October dates are:
4 – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
5 – The Ruby Lounge, Manchester
6 – The Cluny, Newcastle
7 – Nice N Sleazy, Glasgow
13 – Waterfront Studio, Norwich
14 – The Bodega, Nottingham (SOLD OUT)
15 – O2 Academy 2, Leicester
18 – Exchange, Bristol (SOLD OUT)
19 – The Joiners, Southampton (SOLD OUT)
20 – The Garage, London
The band’s new album sees them nicely fired up and ready to rock, their own twist on traditional storytelling channeling months of life on the road into a dozen gritty, romantic, raucous punk-folk.
Check out the video for new single Geordie Lad below:
“Geordie Lad’ is a very personal track that we hope also chimes on a more universal level. Written about an ex-member of Skinny Lister,” says singer Daniel. “It’s an ode to the breakdown of a friendship and drifting apart.
“It’s for anyone who’s ever wondered what an estranged friend is up to now. It’s also a little nod to the traditional song ‘Geordie Hinny’ that we used to perform in our early days.”
The Devil, The Heart & The Fight is out on Xtra Mile on September 30.
