Some more names have just been added to SLAM DUNK FESTIVAL tonight – and they’re pretty bloody good.
The multi-site festival took a bit of a hit a few weeks back when they announced they were binning off the Birmingham leg and moving the Leeds one out of the city centre to Temple Newsam. But they’ve more than made up for it (for us, at least) with some absolute banging additions to the bill.
Joining already-announced All Time Low as festival headliners are British metal behemoths BULLET FOR MY VALLENTINE, who (surprisingly) make their Slam Dunk debut.
They’ll be joined by New York hardcore crew GLASSJAW, New Jersey pop-punkers SAVES THE DAY and emo legends THE GET UP KIDS, who are all popping their Slam Dunk cherries. Woah, there.
Also announced are SIMPLE PLAN, former P!ATD and Falling In Reverse duo I DON’T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME and the utterly brilliant MENZINGERS. Yes please.
For us hardcore kids, we’ve also got TURNSTILE and KNOCKED LOOSE, and TINY MOVING PARTS and TROPHY EYES make Slam Dunk Festival 2019 a truly international affair. It’s going to go off.
So as well as previously-announced acts like NOFX, NEW FOUND GLORY, WATERPARKS, GALLOWS, MAD CADDIES and more, it’s going to be a long wait until next summers.
The now twin-site festival takes place over the May Bank Holiday (Leeds on Saturday 25 and Hatfield on Sunday 26 May). Tickets are on sale now from http://slamdunkfestival.com for just £59. An absolute bargain for all these bands!
Can you tell we’re a bit excited for this? See you down the front.
