Poppy art-rock trio DREAM WIFE have shared the video for Kids, taken from their debut EP ahead of their upcoming UK tour.

The London-via-Brighton-and-Reykjavik three-piece peddle a pretty wild pop-punk sound, with plenty of attitude and a massive nod to mid-90s alt-rock vibes. Check out Kids below:

Named after the 1953 romantic comedy starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, Dream Wife formed in 2014 as part of an art college “fake girl band” project for a gallery exhibition but soon found their way to playing live shows around the country. Art-rock in this sense is very appropriate, then.

Their live shows have become quite the talking point – riot grrrl discos, all glitter balls and bags of sass, sugar-coated melodies driven by chunky guitars and shouty vocals.

Dream Wife are heading out on tour next month. Be sure to catch them at these dates:

October 1 – Southsea Festival
October 2 – Deaf Institute, Manchester
October 3 – Louisiana, Bristol
October 5 – Lexington, London
October 6 – Patterns, Brighton
October 10 – Rainbow, Birmingham
October 11 – Nice n Sleazy, Glasgow
October 12 – Belgrave Music Hall, Leeds

They managed to set up a head-banging human pyramid for their first ever live show, and created a Space Beach vibe complete with silver palm trees and classic club show glittery curtains for their EP’s launch party, so who knows what they’ll do on these dates…

Their debut EP, EP01, is available now on iTunes via Cannibal Hymns.
