London alt-rock four-piece WOLF ALICE are to be the focus of a new documentary by film-maker Michael Winterbottom, which will hold its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival next month.
On The Road follows the band on their 17-date tour of the UK in March, taking in all the magical – and mundane – moments backstage and on stage from the perspective of one of the tour’s crew members.
“It is a refreshingly unusual one with unexpected twists; it reveals the relentless, sometimes unglamorous graft of playing live, night after night. But the film also mesmerises, offering a structure that reveals more, at every stop on the road,” says the publicity blurb.
The film will premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on Sunday, October 9 at the BFI Southbank in London.
The festival will see live music return to the park for the first time in over a decade, and will also include plenty of family entertainment and food stalls alongside a day of live music.
